Shelfie APP
SUMMARY
Shelfie was a 2-week Remote Design Jam Challenge project to tackle the problem of the vulnerable population needing to get groceries, but also wanting to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Market Research
Qualitative And QuantitaTive Research
I conducted a few user interviews to find the pinpoints of purchasing groceries online. Our team also sent out a survey for “drivers” who were interested in working as shoppers and deliverers during the pandemic. We used the data collected to figure out what the optimal experience was and which types of features we should include.
StoryBoarding
Our team had a role playing session of the vulnerable person, driver, and local grocery store owner. We empathized with all the different types of users and businesses involved.
Early Wireframes
Branding & Design System
I used tan, brown, and muted colors. The Amatic typeface and hand-drawn shapes and illustrations all give off a local, home-grown feel.
Visual Design
Summary
Our team presented the app and concept to an audience of 50+. To continue, we would like to conduct further user research and interviews to measure interest in the app.
