SUMMARY

The OMED hotel experience is a demo created to showcase how Xperiel technology could benefit user’s lives in the hospitality business using personalization, IoT devices, and payments. In this demo, user’s could check-in at a hotel and witness a hotel room personalize its lighting, temperature, and content to the user’s profile.

Problem Statement

How might we create a realistic and exciting experience so other companies can visualize how they would be able to incorporate Xperiel’s technology into their businesses?

Goal

Get businesses to partner with Xperiel.

User Journey & Wireframes

We created a user persona of Madison, a 30 year old mother who is visiting New York with her family.

The user journey starts with Madison entering the lobby and her phone screen automatically changes to the hotel’s check-in app using the Xperiel RWW Chameleon technology. She is then able to check-in with one tap using her credit card stored in the Chameleon App. She is given a digital key card with the room number. Without having to wait in any lines, Madison immediately goes to her room and uses the NFC technology to unlock her door. The Chameleon app already has her room preferences and communicates with the hotel to personalize her room (temperature, brightness, personal photos, and preferred activities). The preferences are echoed onto the hotel tv screen when she enters.

Mood Board

My favorite part of this project was creating the brand. I created a business persona of a high-end New York hotel. I was inspired by the Art Deco style.

Summary

This Demo was created with Xperiel Technology. We turned one of the meeting rooms in the office into a “hotel room”. Using NFC triggers, location, and IoT technology, my team was able to get the NFC door lock, IoT lights, Nest temperature, and digital picture frames to all change when you walk into the room.

What’s Next?

With the success of this demo, Xperiel is ready to implement this technology into any hospitality or other similar businesses.
